Why I like it
When it comes to testing or sharing ideas about anything, I love crowdsourcing feedback. Different bodies, different budgets, different needs – that’s what makes this space so interesting. And honestly, that’s my favorite thing about the Libra Novo Omni: I haven’t met a single person who doesn’t love it yet.
It brings technology into the mix, but not just for the sake of it. Adjustable electronic backrest automatically adapts to the shape of your back. I have a double arch in my lower back and need extra support, while my partner’s back is straighter and needs more level and balanced support. With a 2200 mAh, 12V (23.76 Wh) rechargeable battery that charges via USB-C, the backrest adjusts with the push of a button – and you can even activate a gentle pulsation mode for added comfort.
I’ve also experimented with chairs that require plugging them in, sometimes with those magnetic connectors that snap the moment you spin them. The Omni avoids this completely thanks to its built-in, removable battery, which charges separately, meaning no wires dangling from the chair. It reclines to four angles – 105 degrees, 120 degrees, 135 degrees and 160 degrees – controlled by clearly marked handles, and the removable headrest, along with the all-day comfortable seat cushion, seals the deal.
The SyncroLink mechanism is another advantage. As you recline, the entire chair moves with you – the armrests change, the headrest and spine adjust and stay in sync. Getting back upright feels completely smooth.
Who is it better for?
Anyone who wants a premium ergonomic chair with innovative features that serve a purpose – not gimmicks. If you value automatic lumbar shaping, smooth synchronized tilt and the freedom of wire-free setup, the Omni hits all the right notes. It also works well for people who share a chair or have completely different back shapes, because the auto-adjusting backrest instantly compensates for this. And if you like options, three packages (Basic, Standard with footrest, and Pro with extra battery) and two color options (Midnight Black and Space Gray) make it easy to customize your setup.
Who should skip it?
If locking armrests are a necessity — something I personally look for in chairs — Omni doesn’t offer them. And if you’re shopping on a budget, it may also be overpriced since it’s on the more expensive side. People who prefer very manual chairs without any technology or moving parts may also find the Omni to be over-designed for their needs.
