The Brewista Milk Frothing Pitcher advertises a maximum capacity of 24 ounces, but its 3.3-inch chamber is great for smaller brews that require more aeration and less submersion of the steam wand. The spout is great for latte art, and the sturdy exterior can take a beating when you hit it on the counter to smooth out the bubbles in your milk after steaming. The external temperature gauge is a nice gimmick that’s fine as a rough visual guide if your ears and fingers aren’t accustomed to knowing when the milk has been steamed to the correct temperature, but it’s no substitute for a proper thermometer if accuracy is key.
Speaking of convenient thermometers, the Decent Espresso Milk Thermometer is a refreshing feat of no-nonsense engineering in a world of bells, whistles and nonsense. When you go out, you can select Celsius or Fahrenheit, and within a few days, the simplest, most accurate thermometer you will ever use will magically arrive on your doorstep. The interface is simple: press and hold the on/off button to turn it on, use the plus and minus buttons to set the temperature at which the thermometer beeps, then press the on/off button again to turn it off. The silicone sleeve is durable and very good at keeping milk out of its electrical gut, and it’s easy to remove when it’s time to change the battery. I’ve used this thermometer almost daily for over a year and that time has yet to come, but when it does, a pair of LR44 batteries will be ready It’s easy to find on Amazon Or at the target closest to you.
Searching for a small rechargeable vacuum cleaner is a daunting task now that every corner of the internet is awash with strange charging waste. Given the name of this item, I’m not convinced it’s exempt from this classification, but it holds up well against six months of daily use that includes rigorous vacuuming and general tidying of surfaces in my workspace. A clear filter insert keeps ground grains, whole grains, and other particle bits out of the motor, and USB-C charging is fast and efficient. The back of the vacuum blows compressed air and can be used to inflate rafts and air mattresses as a nice added bonus.
Before entering the dedicated espresso station, i Casabrioz 5700pro It was tucked into a corner of my kitchen barely big enough to hold it, a grinding box, and a couple of other small tools that often get lost behind the machine. To save space, I installed this handy little set of silicone-coated arms that stick to the side of your device with either a magnet or a magnetic base if your device is made of plastic. It stores my portafilter upright at an angle, which helps it dry after I’m done using it. I like it so much that it has survived the move to a larger workspace, which remains tidy and aesthetically pleasing thanks to nifty little tools like this.
