Beats Studio Pro is getting nearly $200 off ahead of Amazon’s big spring sales

Earlier this week, Apple AirPods Max 2 unveiled. The upcoming over-ear headphones build on its predecessor with the H2 chip powering a host of new features; However, they still don’t offer the kind of cross-platform compatibility you’ll get with a modern pair of Beats headphones — including Beats Studio Prowhich is for sale at Amazon, Walmartand Best buy to an all-time low of around $169.95 ($180 off) in the run-up to Amazon’s Big Annual Spring Sale.

Although it has undoubtedly become a bit longer, the design of Beats is fundamentally unchanged Since 2017 – The Beats Studio Pro remain a solid pair of platform-neutral headphones, especially at this price. They offer one-touch pairing with both iOS and Android devices, along with support for Apple’s Find My and Google’s Find Hub networks, allowing you to locate them a little easier if you get lost. Apple users get access to hands-free Siri and spatial audio support for head tracking, while Android users get an AirPods-like volume switching trick that lets you easily switch between different Android devices (phones, Chromebooks, etc.).

As far as sound quality is concerned, Studio Pro won’t compete with newer options like Bose’s latest QuietComfort Ultra Or Sony WH-1000XM6 (Or even the last generation XM5, for that matter). The custom 40mm drivers don’t offer anything exceptional, but their signature is balanced and decent enough, even if it ditches some of the low-end oomph that Beats were once known for. Additionally, it offers an excellent Transparency Mode to filter out external noise and supports lossless playback via USB-C, allowing you to take advantage of 24-bit/48kHz audio from compatible platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Now, if only turning on USB-C didn’t disable full access to the noise cancellation and transparency modes when it’s active.
