The Anker Solix C1000 has a LiFePO4 battery inside which should last for at least ten years of use. The 1,056Wh capacity (which can be doubled with the BP1000 expansion battery) is enough to keep your gadgets online for a long weekend. Most power stations are dull, so I appreciated the charcoal and gray design with blue accents and the silver power button. The built-in handles make it relatively easy to carry, although it only weighs 30 pounds, so I wouldn’t carry it far. It has tons of ports.

If you’re worried that the limited capacity and maximum output means this is only suitable for charging small tools, you’ll be happy to know that I’ve also tested it with a mini-fridge, a TV and an electric drill, with no problems.
