Nvidia’s plan to reinvent laptops with AI chips

We’re now in the developer conference phase, and one of the themes so far is the continued conviction from big tech companies that AI will change everything about how we do everything. Nvidia’s Jensen Huang made this clearer than anyone this week, when he described it A whole new way to use our laptops – And completely A new type of laptop Made to support it. This is all interesting, but it raises the same question we have about many AI products: Does anyone actually want this?

on This episode of vertcastNilay and David work with many of the products released by Microsoft Build and Google I/O Gemini Spark to Nvidia RTX Spark to Microsoft Scout and Solar energy Projects. AI agents are everywhere, doing everything, and we’re not quite sure how we feel about that. Do we have to completely rethink our laptops so they can run AI models? Or is “the most powerful laptop” enough to get the job done?

Next, it’s Hype Desk time, Brendan Carr is a dummy, our thoughts on WWDC, and a very silly meta hacker.
