The sixth edition of the World Baseball Classic heads to the quarterfinals. The United States will look to bounce back from a shock defeat when its team takes on Canada in a thrilling quarter-final clash on Friday.
Team USA was stunned after suffering an 8-6 loss to Italy on Tuesday and had to rely on Italy’s win over Mexico to advance to this stage. Aaron Judge and company must now dust themselves off when they take on their near neighbors at Daikin Park in Houston for a spot in the semifinals.
Ahead of that clash, the quarter-finals kick off on Friday with a thrilling clash between South Korea and the unbeaten Dominican Republic, while the last remaining team in Europe, Italy, make only their second ever appearance in the quarter-finals of the tournament, as they take on Puerto Rico.
Rounding things out in Saturday’s quarterfinals is the first WBC meeting between defending champion Japan and a Venezuelan team looking to bounce back after Thursday’s Group D defeat to Latin rival Dominican Republic.

Fox Sports is scheduled to show all games of the 2026 World Baseball Classic. Coverage will span Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2, with free streaming service Tubi also showing six games.
