YouTube opens two channels to post fake AI movie trailers


YouTube Action has been taken against two channels that used artificial intelligence to produce fake movie trailers. A YouTube spokesperson confirmed to CNET that the Screen Culture and KH Studio channels have been shut down.

The channels in India and Georgia had a combined 2 million subscribers and received over 1 billion views collectively. According to the deadline. YouTube’s move comes after the platform suspended advertising on Screen Culture and KH Studio earlier this year, Deadline reports.

“Following their initial suspension, these channels have made the necessary corrections in order to be readmitted into the YouTube Partner Program,” YouTube spokesperson Jack Malone said in a statement shared with CNET. “However, once monetized again, they returned to committing clear violations of our spam and misleading metadata policies and, as a result, were terminated from the platform.”
