YouTube competes with Spotify with its new Recap feature

YouTube is kicking off the year-end stats-sharing frenzy with its new Recap feature, which collects highlights from your viewing habits for 2025. The Recap plays like a reel and is divided into sections like personality type and, for US-based folks, your YouTube award.

The feature is different from the existing one YouTube music recapalthough if you listen to 10 hours of music on YouTube, you’ll get a music summary as well. Google said Summaries is available to most people except children and supervised accounts.

Meanwhile, the most anticipated feed feature ever – Spotify wrapped – He is also scheduled to appear this week.

Here’s how to access your YouTube summary:

1. Go to the “You” tab at the bottom of the YouTube app and tap the “Recap” logo.
2. Visit youtube.com/recap.
