Windows 11 gets some improvements that are needed

Microsoft launches a monthly update for Windows 11, which includes some important updates to support HDR in the operating system. Updates allow you to keep HDR disables via the entire Windows, but the HDR video flow remains with all its glory, along with more control of Dolby Vision.

Delay Update KB5058499 Available for all Windows 11 users currently if you enable the option to “get the latest updates as soon as they are available” in Windows Update. Once installed, you can now switch the ability to flow the HDR video option even when disabled HDR in Windows, allowing you to view HDR content from apps like Netflix or websites like YouTube without having to enable HDR via Windows.

Microsoft also updates HDR Windows 11 to allow you to independently switch Dolby Vision support in content or via Windows. Dolby Vision used to be forced on the windows if you enable it on your screen, so it is good to be able to switch or stop it.

These new options are great for people who simply disable HDR in Windows due to his incomplete support. Personally, I disable HDR in Windows and use the Windows Key + ALT + B to enable it in the games that support it properly, simply because I rely on a variety of content capture tools for screen clips and screen record that produce washed image because it does not support HDR properly or provides a way to capture the individual SDR content.

Although HDR’s support in Windows has improved over the past year thanks to the latest group of OLED screens, I still want to see gaming developers and Microsoft taking HDR seriously. Auto HDR Great gamesBut it is still a mysterious process and a truly course to make HDR work well through a variety of applications and games in Windows.
