Apple announced The developer conference around the world In June it will be released iOS 26 This fall. This update will bring a file New liquid glass designand Call check -in And more for your iPhone. But when Apple released iOS 18.2 In December, you have introduced a new feature in your mail application that secretes incoming emails to different categories that are called categories.
“The mail application produces emails automatically to categories to help you find the messages and manage them faster,” Apple Online books. But if you don’t like how the categories work in the mail, do not worry. Apple gives you some options to ignore the categories or re -apply to look as it happened before updating iOS 18.2.
Here is what you need to know about the mail categories and how to turn off the feature so that your application appears as it happened before the update.
The mail categories are similar to the categories you will find in Gmail. The application filters your emails into one of four categories: initial transactions, updates and promotions.
Email messages with receipts, as well as demand and delivery information, fill in the category of transactions, news, news and other emails subscribe to the updates. Email messages with special offers and deals have moved to promotional offers, as you may imagine.
I ignore most of the deals that I get via email, but the coffee subscription is attractive.
The primary category is more difficult to determine. Apple says in the application that the main is “the most important messages”. I have used the designed application since its launch at Beta, and during that time my basic category is filled with email messages from my wife, customer service and even recovery information. It’s a little attraction.
You can for most messages but not everything. Here is how.
1. Press mail.
2. Click the transactions tab, updates or promotional offers and then click a message.
3. Click on the three points (…In the upper right corner.
4. handle Classification of the sender.
The promotions feel back to this email.
Then you can manually classify messages from a specific sender to another category. You can also reclassify an email from promotional offers to deals and then return to promotions. The only email messages that cannot be reclassified are those in primary – which can be annoying.
Once, I requested tickets for a display in a local theater, and the email was filtered into promotional shows. I have transferred e -mail with these tickets to primary, but now all emails from this theater – including deals and sales – moved to my basic category. Inability to change this classification again annoying.
If you don’t like mail categories, you have some options to see all your mail simultaneously. The easiest way is to pass the category bar near the top of the mail to the left to check All mail. Click this and all your mail from top to bottom will be displayed with each message entering, but you will still see the signs of categories tab across the top of the application.
Best this offer for my mailbox to be honest.
You can also remove the categories completely so that the application looks as it happened before the update. Here is how.
1. Press mail.
2. Click on the three points (…In the right right corner of the application.
3. handle Display.
Now your mail emails will fill from top to bottom when they reach your inbox.
