Warner Bros. Discovery is divided into two companies

Warner Bros. Television and Warner Bros. Motion Picure Group, DC Studios, HBO and HBO Max, as well as their film and television libraries, under the new “Double and Studios” company. Another company, described as “global networks”, will run brands for entertainment, sports and news, including CNN, Bleacher Report, Discovery Plus Service, TNT SPORTS in the United States, and Discovery TV channels throughout Europe.

“The cultural importance of this great company and the influential stories it brought to more than a century has touched countless people around the world. It is a legacy that we will proud of in this semester of our famous history,” said David Zassallav, CEO of WBD. “By working as two distinguished companies and futures in the future, we enable these iconic brands with the most clear focus and strategic flexibility they need to compete more effectively in the advanced media scene today.”

The final names have not been given to the two companies, so it is not clear what will get the Warner Bros. Zaslav will act as head and CEO of Streaming and Studios, while WBD CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels will be president and executive director of Global Networks. Both will continue in their current roles in WBD to the chapter. Global Networks will receive a 20 percent stake in Spinoff Streaming and Studios.

Financial times It was mentioned in July 2024 Zaslav was considering creating a new company to separate WBD broadcasting work from the increasing debts of old TV networks. Since today’s announcement does not mention driving plans for WBD after separation, the future of the WBD brand is not sure.
