Twelve tons of KitKats have been stolen, and you can help find them


On March 29, Kit Kat Posted on Instagram 12 tons of Kit Kat (about 413,793 pieces) were stolen between Italy and Poland. The chocolates were gone and the truck they were in was still missing.

Nestlé is now searching for the stolen Kit Kat bars, and is asking the public to help find them.

If a thief is trying to sell candy, he might stumble. Nestlé knows the serial numbers of the missing cassettes. Since the theft occurred in Europe, candy sold in the United States likely will not be affected. These are not traditional KitKats, but special edition car-shaped KitKats developed to promote Formula 1.

A KitKat representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Fashion platform Gilt says: “Don’t let our name fool you. We’re completely innocent *wipes chocolate from mouth*”

Mission Bunny calls for help, saying, “Officials, assemble.”

Tide Laundry also poked fun at the chocolate company’s slogan with the caption: “Hard break.”
