The play is one carefully called robot, espionage and art of artificial intelligence. The idea arose when the playwright John Arthur stumbled for a long time through a video of the Gok2 UNITREE robot on YouTube. He bought himself a robot and the story grew from there. “I don’t think there was a real robot on the stage,” says Long.

The robot is expressed directly by David Rei, which communicates via the amplifier connected to the back of the robot, and its movements are treated directly by Dariel Garcia, using an application and a control unit.

“I have about 90 % control,” says Garcia. “A lot of jumping and the movement of some of the arm you make, that pre -programmed, but most of the time, I just deal with the dog.”

The director of the play, Kirk Justkovsky, who is also the coach of the series Theater, says he briefly thought of recording robot lines in advance, but he quickly realized that doing this on the air was the best option. “There is a lot of comedy in this,” he says. “If there is laughter, the actor will have to stop. The actor knows to deal with the audience in a different way. This is the joy of live theater.”
