The WiiM Sound Lite speaker beats Sonos for Multiroom music

The streaming audio manufacturer is responsible for WiiM Sonos Era 100 With the latest smart speakers, WiiM Sound Lite.

WiiM Sound Lite is a high-fidelity smart speaker with a 4-inch woofer, dual 1-inch woofers and a peak output of 100 watts. It can be paired with another unit for stereo sound or even expanded to 5.1 channel surround.

The speaker has a black and white fabric grille and its connections include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Ethernet.

WiiM Home partner app supported spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, Qobuz and YouTube Music, while the speaker also features Google Cast, Alexa multiroom and Roon Ready.

Although the speaker doesn’t have a voice assistant, it can be paired with the separate WiiM Voice Remote 2 Lite for push-to-talk control. Meanwhile, the competitive Sonos Era 100 has an integrated voice assistant and is $10 cheaper.

With products like Wim pro and Wim ultra Streaming devices, the multi-room music company quickly found favor with audiophiles looking for high-end features on a budget.

WiiM Sound Lite will be available on December 25 from Amazon and select retailers for $229.
