The Sound Blaster modular hub is a reconfigurable audio streaming platform

Creative, best known for its Sound Blaster line of sound cards that enhanced the audio capabilities of 1990s-era PCs, is reviving the brand with a new hub called Re:Imagine. It reminds us Elgato’s Stream Deck consolesbut with a focus on your audio equipment. It has a modular design that allows buttons, dials, sliders, and displays to be mixed, matched, and rearranged according to your specific needs.

Company Launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter with delivery expected as early as June 2026. Pricing is expected to start at $500 for a kit that includes a horizontal base unit as well as touchscreen, button, dial, and slider units. Kickstarter backers can currently pre-order it for $329 for a limited time.

The Re:Imagine features USB-C connections, microphone, line, and optical connections, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a dedicated USB port for connecting to a computer, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth support for wireless equipment like headphones. There’s also a built-in DAC and amplifier that Creative says is capable of powering larger desktop speakers at studio level. You can route audio from one device to another using the hub or touchscreen buttons, without having to juggle cables, but their usefulness goes beyond that.

While connected to a computer, the hub’s various buttons and controls can be assigned to launch apps, trigger shortcuts like muting a phone call or starting programmable macros, and even control Matter-enabled smart home devices. It runs Linux, and Creative says users have full access to its hardware. Developers are encouraged to create their own applications or find alternative uses for the hub.

But Re:Imagine isn’t entirely PC-based. It is powered by an octa-core processor with 8GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space that can be expanded using a microSD memory card. It can run apps on its 3-inch touchscreen, includes a DOS emulator to run old games, AI-powered assistants, and an AI-powered DJ that can create music based on a theme.
