On condition RAM has become expensive For a recent purchase, you may have considered purchasing a pre-built desktop computer. If so, and you’re leaning towards a high-end gaming model, Costco Model is a great value of $1,999.99 ($300 off) for members through February 8th. It’s a liquid-cooled AMD machine built into Asus’ ROG GM700 case, and includes a Ryzen 9 9950X3D – Best desktop processor of 2025 – Along with AMD’s Radeon 9070 XT graphics card (also very good!), 32GB DDR5 RAM, a 2TB SSD, and a wired keyboard and mouse. Buying each of these components incrementally will likely send you well over $2,000, with the CPU and GPU accounting for more than half the cost.
Obviously the Alvin is still a lot of money, but I’ve compared the prices to other configurations and it seems to be the best value out there. For example, B&H Photos It has a $1,899 model with half the RAM and storage amounts, not to mention stepping down to an Intel Ultra 7 265F processor and Nvidia’s RTX 5070 GPU. Best buyThe $1,699.99 model offers 32GB of DDR5 RAM with 1TB of storage alongside AMD’s Ryzen 7 8700F and Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti. The Costco model is vastly superior, especially in the processors department.
