CEO of Spotify Daniel EK Declare He ascends as an executive president, after two decades of establishing a music broadcast service. EK will move to the role of the CEO of the company on January 1, 2026, where Spotify Presedents Alex Nurström and Gustav Söderström were set to intervene in Co-CEOS.
“As an executive president, I will spend more of my time on the long arc: strategy, capital allocation, organizational efforts, and calls that will make up the next decade for Spotify,” EK said in a statement. “Gustav and Alex will continue to report, and we will work closely with our board of directors.”
