Why I love them
When Sony set out to design its flagship WF-1000XM5 noise-cancelling earbuds, it was looking to address some of the injustices people faced with their predecessors. WF-1000XM4 Earbuds introduced in 2021. Not only are the XM5s smaller, but they also offer vastly improved performance across the board, with better noise cancellation, sound quality, and voice calling performance. Overall, they’re impressive – easily among the best earbuds on the market. Equipped with 8.2mm speaker drivers and two new Sony chipsets (V2 integrated processors and QN2e noise-canceling processors), the earbuds deliver rich sound with beautiful details, clear mids, and powerful, well-defined bass.
