The Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 are $50 off, but only through the end of Cyber Monday

Unless you want an open-clip design, getting quality earbuds for working out has become more difficult in the past few years. Companies don’t focus on them much, or leave the market completely like Jabra did at the end of 2024. Fortunately, some of the best earbuds for working out – Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 – Not only is it still there, but it was renovated at the beginning of the year. For the rest of Cyber Monday, they’re on sale at Amazon, Walmartand Best buy For $199.95 ($50 off), which is roughly equivalent to its all-time low.

The original Powerbeats Pro This was my preferred method when I was training for a half marathon before the pandemic. The main reason is the ear hook design, which curves around the back of the ear, keeping it firmly in place. It doesn’t matter if I’m running on the street, running in the hallways, or training for sprint intervals; I never had to worry about them falling out. The Pro 2 improves on this design with more flexible and stronger earhooks that provide an excellent fit and allow it to withstand any unwanted abuse. Those who wear glasses may find the hooks uncomfortable, but I found that once I knew how to position them correctly, it was no longer an issue.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 also features heart rate monitoring – preset Apple’s latest AirPods Pro 3 headphones. For those who don’t have an Apple Watch or want to use a chest strap, it’s a good alternative, especially since I found it to be relatively accurate in my testing. The heart rate sensors can integrate with Apple Fitness (which was added post-launch) and a host of third-party apps as well, and they work with Apple and Android products. Beats brand advantage over Apple.

Sound quality for music with the Powerbeats Pro 2 is good, with enough of the driving sound we all crave for workout sessions. Active noise cancellation also does a great job of handling noisy environments, and works well for calls, with noise suppression tuning out wind noise.

While the included carrying case is much smaller than the previous version, it’s still larger than you get with most modern earbuds, given the space required for the ear hooks. However, this time it also supports wireless charging, which was sorely missing from the original Powerbeats Pro.

If you’re looking for new workout earbuds, the Powerbeats Pro 2 are a great option, and at their Cyber Monday prices, they’re great value.
