The company has begun testing The playlists feature was requested in New Zealand late last year With a focus on creating music-based playlists. This year, the company launched the feature in new geographies, including United States and Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and Sweden.
Now, the beta feature will enable premium users in all these markets to create AI-assisted playlists for English-language podcasts. Users can tap “Create,” select the “Wanted Playlists” option to get started, and add a prompt like “Create a playlist of True Crime podcasts I might be interested in. Add highly rated series I might have missed, especially ones full of twists and turns.”

Users can also set the refresh rate for playlists, with options including daily, weekly (with a selection of days) and no refresh. The company said that when you add a specific episode to your playlist, it will carry a short note indicating why it is included in your list.
“Podcast fans are always looking for the next great listen. A guided playlist makes discovery feel easy and personal.
