Spotify is working to make books fully available in 2026 and is partnering with them Bookshop.org To allow you to purchase physical copies of audiobooks and support local retailers starting in the spring. This announcement coincides with the launch Page matchinga new feature that lets you sync physical books and eBooks with audiobooks in the Spotify app using your camera.
When the partnership launches later this year in the US and UK, there will be a button at the bottom of the pages for audiobooks, prompting you to “Get a copy for your bookshelf.” This process will exit you from the Spotify app to complete your purchase Bookshop.orgleading you directly to the checkout page.
At the ceremony announcing the partnership, the founder and CEO of Bookshop.org Andy Hunter She spoke about the importance of reading, saying that “Spotify attracts more readers, and I’m all for anything that increases the size of the pie.”
