Spotify offers AI-powered playlist creation for podcasts

I listen to podcasts basically all day, every day. I never miss an episode of Morbid, as I love the banter between hosts Alaina and Ash. True with Caleb Herron I’m guaranteed to laugh out loud at least five times an episode. But being permanently trapped is a problem. I can’t help but feel sad when there’s no new episode of my favorite show.

How it works

Starting today, Spotify Premium subscribers in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden can use in-app AI to find podcasts tailored to their tastes based on a single prompt.

For example, you could type something like “Create a playlist with more shows like Maintenance Phase” to receive podcast recommendations that focus on wellness myths and health trends. From there, Spotify’s AI will create a playlist based on your listening preferences.

To get started, open the Spotify app, tap Create Listing in the bottom right corner of the app, then select your desired playlists. From there, you can write what you want to see in your playlists with as much or as little detail as you want.
