The social network announced on Thursday that Snapchat launches a new way for users to inform their friends and family that they made them safe at home after a picnic called “Home Safe”.
To use the feature, you need to set your home location by clicking on bitmoji on the Snap map and then “home”. When you go out and want to notify a friend when you get home, open the conversation, click the map icon, then the Safe Home button.
Your friend will receive an automatic alert in your chat conversation once you get home.
Snapchat notes that alerts can only be sent to friends who are already shared by your site. In addition, since the site’s sharing on the Snap map has been suspended by default, no one can see your site or receive a safe alert to the home unless you choose to share it.
“Whether you are from the first date, a crowded concert, or weekend, a safe home can present an intimate friend or a family member in the mind that I made at home safely,” Snapchat wrote in a blog post.
This new feature comes two months after Snapchat It announced that the sudden map It now has more than 400 million active users per month.
Snap Map, which was launched in 2017, was originally a way for users to see their friends’ positions and browse public footage from all over the world. Over time, the feature has evolved and now provides ways for users Discover local hot points And find things to do.
