Snapchat launches Creator Subscription in the US


Social network Snapchat Announce Today, it launches creator subscriptions in alpha phase with select people in the United States starting February 23. The company indicated that users will be able to purchase subscriptions for content creators, including Jeremiah Brown, Harry Joseyand Sky Jackson. This will allow users to unlock exclusive content while providing monetization opportunities for content creators.

Creators can set their own monthly prices for an in-app subscription, while Snap will recommend them at different levels. Subscribing will unlock subscriber-only content, prioritized replies to a creator’s public Stories, and ad-free consumption of that creator’s Stories.

Snap noted that this is a new way for content creators to earn more money alongside existing programs.

“Expanding on existing monetization offerings like Unified Monetization and Snap Star Collab Studio, Creator Subscriptions provide a premium layer of direct connection to how Snapchat users already interact with Creators via Stories, Chat, and Replies,” the company said in a blog post. mail.

Snapchat has reached 946 million daily active users, according to the company’s Q4 2025 results. The platform noted during its earnings that the number of US-based users posting to Spotlight increased by more than 47% year over year. The company also took off devices to a new entity called Specifications last month.

The company added that it plans to expand the program to include Snap Stars in Canada, the United Kingdom, and France in the coming weeks.

Meta also allows creators to offer subscriptions on platforms like Instagram and Facebookwhich gives users access to exclusive content and badges.
