It is heavily anodized, which means that the aluminum it is made with has been treated to be more durable. It is coated with non-stick PTFE (also known as Teflon). There are many nonstick pans that no longer use PTFE — we’re working on a roundup of our favorites — but overall, PTFE-coated cookware is still… It is considered safe As long as you take good care of it and don’t overheat it. Make sure to use safe non-stick utensils, use a lower temperature instead of a higher one when you can, don’t preheat an empty pan, and hand wash it when you’re done, it will serve you well.

Note that these fully covered pans are marketed to be safe up to 500°F (although lids are limited to 350°). This is it ceiling “Safe” when it comes to cooking with PTFE. We recommend sticking to this for basic eggs, pancakes, and grilled cheese, and maybe reaching for something different if you need to finish a dish or bake it in the oven. Do what works for you!

These pans are compatible with gas, electric and induction cooking methods, and have a warp-resistant bottom. The stainless steel handles may have a different design than I’m used to, but I personally really like them – I can flip my eggs without a spatula thanks to the handles’ protruding angle. They are technically dishwasher safe, although we recommend gentle hand washing to maintain that smooth outer coating. The walls of the pan are nice and high, giving you good pressure when stirring with a spoon. It’s also really stable and has a nice weight to it – it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy, unlike some random non-stick pans I’ve used over the years.

If you need to upgrade your non-stick product, this set is hard to beat, especially at this price. Be sure to check out our separate stories on Whole factory seconds sold And so is this killer Fully Covered Pizza Oven Deal.
