When someone sends you a video on Ring, you can now visit Ring verification pagepaste the video link, and instantly determine whether the video has been verified or not. The site does not send your video anywhere. It stays local on your device, and all validation takes place within your browser. The verification site only accepts MP4 files, and Ring videos are saved in the format.

Videos downloaded before December 2025 or edited videos cannot be verified. Even minor adjustments, such as trimming a few seconds from the beginning or end of the video, or even adjusting brightness levels, will make it unwatchable, Ring says.
