It’s the start of a new year, and Sony is releasing new games for its PlayStation Plus catalog. Resident Evil Village and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth are just two of the big games that subscribers will be able to play later this month.

The heroes will battle it out on the streets of Honolulu and Tokyo’s Kamurocho district in this RPG filled with a wealth of side activities like darts, golf and, as always, karaoke.

Expeditions: MudRunner (PS5, PS4)
Expeditions: A MudRunner Game takes a different approach to off-road driving. Instead of just getting vehicles dirty while sliding in the mud, players have to do some scientific stuff. You can play alone or with others as you explore deserts, forests, and mountains filled with hidden secrets and long-forgotten ruins. Lead research missions across rugged terrain using a range of all-terrain vehicles, relying on high-tech tools to get around natural obstacles.

A Quiet Place: The Road Forward (PS5)
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is an original story set in a post-apocalyptic world, where making sound is deadly. Alex Taylor is a survivor who navigates abandoned towns and dangerous interiors while trying to stay silent, manage limited resources, and survive deadly creatures that hunt by sound. Players will have to use stealth to be quiet and hide while avoiding making any noise.

Darkest Dungeon II (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4)
In Darkest Dungeon II, players create a party, ride a stagecoach, and try to save the world from evil. Like its predecessor, the game is a roguelike, which means you’ll constantly see interesting locations and roadblocks along the way. The party consists of heroes who have their own flaws. It is up to the player to not only make tactical decisions in battle, but also control party members’ fatigue as they deal with nightmarish monsters. If it becomes too much for one character, it can cause conflict among the party and cause the trip to end in failure.

Exit 8 is one of the prominent games in a new video game subgenre of first-person anomaly detection games. Players walk through an underground Japanese corridor and must look for anomalies, which are things out of place, such as open doors, extinguished fluorescent lights, fake signs, or a giant man walking directly towards you. If you spot one, turn around and run away, which will take you straight back into the same corridor, which may or may not be safe.

Art of Rally (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4)
There’s a second racing game arriving on PS Plus in January, though it’s a bit more unique. Art of Rally is a clean and stylish version of classic rally racing from the creator of the ultimate drift game. The game lets you race vintage cars from the 1960s to the 1980s in a unique top-down view. You will drive through 91 stages including Finland, Sardinia, Norway, Japan, Germany, Kenya and Indonesia. What has been added with this version are improved visuals, the option to rewind during gameplay, the ability to quick save and custom video filters.
