Ai ramp It has come for almost everything in your digital life, and it has found itself A comfortable home in your social media feeds. It’s everywhere, and even if it’s sometimes entertaining, for the most part it is Useless and misleading Or outright lies. While some platforms have no problem with this type of content, others put the controls in your hands so you can at least moderate it, like Pinterest.
Pinterest has made updates to its web and mobile platform user settings so users can reduce the amount of AI-generated posts they see in their feeds. Now, this doesn’t mean that it allows users to remove all AI posts – just some – but some is better than none, especially if your feeds become full of nonsense.
Below we’ll show you how to find the new settings so you can adjust the amount of AI posts you see in your Pinterest feed.
You can find the new settings this way:
Pinterest says it’s starting with categories that are highly vulnerable to content created or modified by AI. The company expects to add more options based on user feedback.
It is important to note that it is not mentioned anywhere that the new settings will remove AI-generated content. Instead, they will reduce it to specific categories.
Matt Madrigal, Pinterest’s chief technology officer, says the site is not looking to remove all AI-generated posts, adding that the new controls strike “the right balance between human creativity and AI innovation.” While some users may want the option to turn off AI-generated social media posts entirely, it’s essentially unavoidable. At the very least, Pinterest gives its users some control.
