Patriane gets broadcast Drilling


Patreon is composing Twitch with a new feature that allows creators to provide live video flows directly on the platform. The feature “starts this week” will be available to “choosing creators” in the early access test, and the company plans to put it on a larger scale this summer, according to a press statement.

Patreon will also provide live and moderate chat tools, and the platform will support third -party integration with common broadcasting tools like OBS and StremLabs. Creators will also be able to share or sell broadcast records (Vods).

“We are testing all these features from now and between us on a wider scale of direct video, which is scheduled this summer,” told Patriane’s spokesperson Adia Taylor Drilling. “The features will be available in the tests, but we will continue to improve it based on the reactions from the creators.”

Taylor says that “thousands of creators” will have access to a direct broadcast test. “We are working with a variety of creators who frequently used our chat and video tools, as well as those who used direct video outside the platforms and were interested in canceling new ways to bring them to their Patreon communities.”
