Paramount is suing after Warner Bros. refused to release it. Discovery’s latest deals

Paramount is turning up the pressure on Warner Bros. Discovery is in the wake of its merger with Netflix, as it is now filing a lawsuit against the company run by David Zaslav in an attempt to obtain more details surrounding the agreement. In addition to the lawsuit, revealed David Ellison, CEO of Paramount The company plans to nominate directors to the WBD Board of Directors to vote against its deal with Netflix.

Paramount has now filed a lawsuit against WBD asking the court to force the company to disclose more details about Netflix’s agreement with WBD shareholders, such as how the deal will be evaluated. “WBD has increasingly given new reasons to avoid a deal with Paramount, but what it never says, because it can’t, is that the Netflix deal is financially better than our actual offer,” Ellison writes.

Ellison adds that Paramount plans to appoint a slate of directors before WBD’s next shareholder meeting, who “will exercise WBD’s right under the Netflix agreement to participate in the Paramount show and enter into a transaction with Paramount.”
