NotebookLM can now summarize research into “cinematic” video overviews.

Previously, video overviews could only create narrated slideshows, but the upgraded video overview feature uses a range of Google AI models, “including Gemini 3, Nano Banana Pro and Veo 3” to create animations based on the content of user feedback. Google says Gemini “determines the best narrative and visual style and format, and even optimizes its work to ensure consistency” when creating videos.

Cinematic video overviews are available in NotebookLM starting today, but are currently only available in English for users over 18 with a Google AI Ultra subscription. Users can also just Create up to 20 cinematic video overviews daily.
