Nintendo is following up on Alarmo with a strange talking flower in March

First of all, as the name suggests, the talking flower will randomly speak a few times every hour when left alone with phrases like “Sometimes it’s good to be apart,” and “Is it weird that flowers talk?” A single button can be pressed in the game to trigger random thoughts on command, or you can press and hold the button to silence the talking flower for a period of time. There’s music too, and at launch it will support 11 different languages including English, Italian and Japanese.

You can also set Talking Flower to speak at specific times of the day, such as greeting you in the morning or saying goodnight as you head to bed, and some of its random phrases only play at specific times of the day. It has a built-in sensor so you can feedback on the temperature in the room, and instead of using LED lights or a screen, the Talking Flower will just tell you when its batteries are running low. The game will be available for pre-order today through the My Nintendo Store and other retailers, and is expected to be released on March 12, 2026.

Surprisingly, this wasn’t the only flower-related news from Nintendo today. The company also released a public trailer for the upcoming Switch 2 update for Mario Wonderand includes a new boost called “Bellabell Flower”. This update will be released on March 26.
