Ninja just launched an updated version of its viral glass air fryer, and you’ve seen it first

SharkNinja revealed Ninja Crispy Pro Glass Air Fryerbuilding on the success of the Primal Glass Air Fryer — our best air fryer overall — which was introduced last year. The new model is available on Ninja website For $280, it offers larger cooking pots and a more modular design to encourage the preparation of not just snacks but also full meals.

Ahead of the launch, CNET was offered a sneak peek of the improved Crispi air fryer at the brand’s headquarters last week.

Here’s our initial view.

The Crispi Pro is more modular but with more space

The new model features a larger 6-quart XL glass container—large enough to cook a whole chicken or meals for up to 10 people—and a low, wide 2.5-quart casserole dish (pictured below), which is great for browning the top of holiday sides like sweet potatoes or macaroni and cheese. It also works with existing 2.5L and 4L glass containers The original Crispy system.

The cleverly designed glass cooking chambers double as serving dishes and have airtight lids that make it easy to store extra food for later.

Unlike its more compact predecessor, the Crispi Pro features a larger, durable base that the cooking pots slide into, so it won’t be as easy to store in a large drawer or cupboard as the original version. The modular base allows the cooking chambers to sit at different heights via a foldable shelf.

New modes for precision cooking

The Pro features a digital interface with two new cooking modes.

Two additional cooking functions have been added to the original design. The Crispi Pro offers six cooking modes: air fry, bake, roast, dehydrate, maximum crisp, and gentle re-crisp.

According to the company, the device includes precise digital temperature controls and can cook frozen food to crispy perfection in less than 15 minutes.

Non-toxic and easy to clean

Unlike the original Crispi, the updated version features a permanent base that the cooking chambers slide into at adjustable heights.

Glass air fryers are a non-toxic and welcome alternative to traditional plastic air fryers. Cirspi Pro containers are BPA-free and leak-resistant, allowing users to prepare, cook, serve, store and reheat food in the same dish.

In our experience, glass cooking chambers also make cleaning easier. You can place the bowls in the dishwasher for a deep cleaning that can’t be easily accomplished with non-stick baskets.

“The original Ninja CRISPi has generated more than 715 million social media impressions since its launch,” said Kelly Miguel, Vice President of Marketing at Ninja, noting growing consumer demand for healthy cooking solutions.

The CRISPi PRO comes in four colors — Cyberspace, Rose Quartz, Bone, and Ash Gray — and features what the company describes as a sleek design meant to sit on countertops rather than stored away.

The device is available at a price of $280 NinjaKitchen.com
