How to reduce AI in your Pinterest feed

You can find the new settings at Home feed tuner section In your Pinterest account, where the new tab will be “GenAI Interests”. From there, users can limit the number of AI posts they see in their home feed by toggling the switch to the off position.

Pinterest says it’s starting with the categories most likely to be created or modified by artificial intelligence. The company expects to add more options based on user feedback.

It is important to note that it is not mentioned anywhere that the new settings will remove AI generated content, rather they will only reduce it in specific categories.

Matt Madrigal, Pinterest’s chief technology officer, says the site is not looking to remove all AI-generated posts. He says the new controls strike “the right balance between human creativity and AI innovation.”
