My mornings have been a bit rough since switching to iOS 26. I’d often fall asleep past my alarm, wondering why the “snooze” I usually rely on wouldn’t go off on my iPhone. It seems I’m not alone in my plight, and the new alarm design is to blame.
It was easier to accidentally press “Stop Alarm” than “Snooze” with both buttons now on top of each other. My nearsightedness doesn’t help matters, because I can’t see my squat when I wake up without my glasses. But those cloudy-eyed problems are solved by using iOS 26.1 update Which forces you to move your finger to stop the alarm. (If you hate the slider, You can change it back under Accessibility settings.)
But there’s one more reason not to put off this iPhone update. In this week’s episode of Something Else, embedded above, I touch on… The biggest changes in iOS 26.1including ways to reduce the opacity of Apple’s Liquid Glass menus if you prefer a more “frosted” glass look.
Apple’s design shifts this week go beyond the iPhone. If you turn on Apple TV – maybe to catch it Pluribus premiere -You will notice New colorful Apple TV logo. It is said that Apple retail stores Getting a little update in their screens next week.
It’s no surprise that Apple has spruced up its appearance Apple’s 50th anniversary is just around the corner. Things are sure to get a little cool over the next few months, and Apple TV logos might just be the beginning.
