Netflix surprises One Piece fans with a special screening of Season 2 episodes

The company announced on Tuesday that a fan celebration will take place on premiere day at 6pm ET (March 10) for moviegoers in Canada, Japan and the US.

Ticket sales begin on Thursday, February 26 at 11 a.m. ET (8 a.m. PT) and will be available on the One Piece fan site here. Only a select group of Regal, AMC, Alamo, Cinemark and Cineplex theaters in the US will show the event, which will be spread across more than 200 locations in all three countries.

The second season of the live-action series will introduce the “Into the Grand Line” story from the manga, taking Luffy (played by Inaki Godoy) and his crew to a treacherous new sea region. Will they find the treasure? With new characters joining this installment, anything is possible. In this new season, viewers can get excited to see live-action versions of Chopper (voiced by Michaela Hopper), as well as Dr. Kureha, Miss All Sunday, Smoker, Miss Wednesday, Wapole, Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0 and a host of other new faces.

With Season 2 scheduled to debut March 10 in theaters and on Netflix, there’s still plenty of time for cosplayers to prepare their best Straw Hat outfits and watch parties.
