Naya has already shipped a successful Kickstarter for the Strange keyboard. the Naya created It was an ergonomic split surface with four interchangeable control attachments: touchpad, trackball, rotary encoder, or 6DoF spatial mouse. the Calls It takes this modular concept, applies it to a more traditional flat keyboard form factor, and expands the ecosystem to be more flexible. People clearly liked the idea, because it achieved its meager funding goal in just six minutes.
The Naya Connect has four main components: a 75% low-profile mechanical keyboard called the Naya Type, a 24-key multipad, a six-key programmable bar, and a dock. The dock has four switches and a slot for one of the same four interchangeable controllers as the build. If you can’t decide between a full-sized keyboard or a built-in keyboard, trackball or mouse, this might solve your hesitation.
Each piece has magnetic connectors, and can be arranged in almost any combination: Want a giant rotary controller to the left of the keyboard and a touchpad to the right? Help yourself. You can place the multipad on the left if you’re left-handed, or place one on each side for two sets of macros.
The all-inclusive package, which includes one of everything, including two berths, will set you back €568, or about $662. The cheapest package with only a dock and touchpad controller is €187 (about $218). Of course, all of Kickstarter’s usual disclaimers still apply.
