MSNBC has become “my source opinion world”

Follow up on what I have already seen from Mark, later this year, we will take a new name: MS now, Who stands for Exporter to newsand opinion,and world.

This new brand emphasizes our mission: Working as a destination for urgent news and the best opinion press in its class, all of which are rooted in accurate and reported facts.

I know that this advertisement will receive questions, and I want to acknowledge that for many of you who spent years or contracts here, it is difficult to imagine the network with any other name. This was not a decision that was taken quickly or without a big discussion.

Over the past eight months, we have worked to dismantle ourselves from NBC news and adopt our independence for a fee. We have appointed dozens of first -class correspondents and news room leaders and have employed nearly 100 role in our new and smart organization. We continue to determine our non-linear products, and to achieve quick success on YouTube, Tiktok, sound, digital events, and living, and more-with the development of a direct product for the consumer.

During this time of moving, NBCunivesal decided that our brand requires a separate new identity. This decision now allows us to set our own path and confirm our independence as we continue to build our modern news process.

The future of our success is not associated with staying within the NBC family and using peacocks as part of our identity. While our name will change, who we are and what we do will not. Our commitment to our work and our fans will not give up on what was the brand’s promise for three decades.

In conjunction with the re -launch of the brand, we will invest in a wide marketing campaign, unlike anything we have done in modern memory. Planning is now taking place for an employee meeting all next week, as I will have more to share-more news about it soon.

Until then, we have millions of people who rely on us to continue doing what we do better. As I said on my first day, our most important job is to appear for our fans, and the society that depends on us now more than ever.
