New low cost Motorola Android phones It will be among the cheapest programs to get the search engine from Google. The new $200 Moto G and $170 Moto G Play will ship for 2026, which was announced on Tuesday, with Android 16 It comes with access to the Gemini-powered feature along with Gemini Assistant.
Google search department The AI-powered feature has been particularly useful since its debut, making it especially noteworthy that it will now be available in devices that cost less than $200. The $170 Moto G Play will arrive first on November 13, followed by the $200 Moto G on December 11.
Both phones will come with a 6.7-inch display and 120Hz refresh rate, include 5G connectivity (a first for the Play series) and will have a 5,200mAh battery.

The budget Play phone will be powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 6300 processor and will include 4GB of memory that can be physically expanded up to 12GB using the RAM Boost feature. This feature mainly borrows from the phone’s 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 1TB using the microSD card slot, while its battery can be quickly recharged at 18W. It will also have a 32-megapixel main camera on the back, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It will come in one color called Pantone Tapestry, which features a teal shade.
The slightly more expensive Moto G will also run on the same processor, but with an increased 128GB of storage and 30W wired charging speed. Its rear camera system is led by a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera paired with a 2-megapixel macro camera, while its selfie camera is a 32-megapixel camera. It will come in two colours, Pantone Cattleya Orchid (a purple-like shade) and Pantone Slipstream (a gray shade).
While I’m happy to see budget phones getting the mainstream, I’m a bit concerned that many of the specs found in the 2026 version of the The Moto G is similar to the 2025 model – Especially the inclusion of 4GB of built-in RAM. I found the previous Moto G to have stability issues at first, which were largely resolved by using the RAM Boost setting to have the software simulate additional memory to help with app loading and multitasking. We’ll have to test to see if the new 2026 Moto G phones fare better under Android 16, and hopefully larger batteries will also allow these less powerful phones to run longer between charges.
