Microsoft has decided to discontinue its Office Lens app on iOS and Android

Microsoft will remove the Lens Scanner app from iOS and Android in the coming months. Microsoft Lens, or Office Lens as it is known to many, will do that No longer supported On February 9th, the app will not work after March 9th.

Lens’ mobile scanner features are available in OneDrive instead, making the dedicated app redundant for Microsoft. You’ll still be able to digitally capture, save, and edit photos of dashboards, documents, and receipts in OneDrive. The images can then be converted into Word or PDF documents, and properly cropped and rotated.

Microsoft has debuted the Office Lens app for iOS and Android In 2015after its initial availability on Windows Phone. It had unique integration with Office, and was one of several “mobile-first” iOS and Android apps created by Microsoft a decade ago.
