Apparently, it’s been 40 years since Mario first appeared on North American shores. Obviously this can’t be true, because 1986 was only 20 years ago, but suffice it to say that the little plumber and his silly hat have been a part of our lives for a very long time.

On March 10, also known as March 10 Day, we’ll spend some time celebrating Mario and remembering all the joy his antics have brought us over the decades. Whether you’re now in your early teens, playing the latest Mario Kart game, or, like me, playing Mario games from the last century, today is the day to enjoy this mustachioed hero.
