Where to watch the Portsmouth and Arsenal match

  • The Portsmouth-Arsenal match will be broadcast in the US on ESPN 2 and ESPN Plus.

Arsenal begin their FA Cup campaign on Sunday with a trip to Fratton Park to take on a Portsmouth side seeking a welcome distraction from their struggles in the tournament.

Arsenal were held to a 0-0 draw at Anfield earlier this week to leave them six points clear at the top of the Premier League. While Mikel Arteta will prioritize the club’s title challenge, the Arsenal boss is also likely to be keen to banish memories of last season’s early third-round exit in this competition, when his side were eliminated on penalties by 10-man Manchester United.

Portsmouth stand in the way of Arsenal’s progress to the last 32, currently hovering just one point above the relegation zone in 21st in the Championship. Last week’s brutal 5-0 defeat to Bristol City was far from ideal preparation for a meeting with the Championship’s leading side.

Portsmouth faces Arsenal at Fratton Park Sunday 11 January. Kick off is set for It’s two o’clock in the afternoon GMT Local time in the United Kingdom, which is 9 a.m. ET or 6 a.m. PT In the United States and Canada, and 1 a.m. EST In Australia early Monday morning.

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal manager, applauds.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal last faced Portsmouth in the fifth round of the 2020 FA Cup, and recorded a 2-0 win on their way to lifting the trophy that season.
