Lenovo’s dual-screen Yoga Book concept turns flat images into 3D models

in Mobile World Congress 2026Lenovo has debuted a range of PCs to join the Yoga and Legion lineup In the coming months. These devices are packed with the latest technology, providing a cutting-edge experience for creators and gamers (or at least those with a lot of money).

The star of the show is the Yoga Book Pro 3D concept, which is designed to bridge 2D and 3D art through the capabilities of Lenovo’s AI software. I wonder if the technology is ready to support the company’s ambitions – and I’m also not sure if this is something the core audience of artists will actually want to use.

In addition to the Yoga Book concept, Lenovo has updated its wide range of products Laptops and Tablets. Below are the highlights of what Lenovo has provided MWC an offer.

Yoga Book Pro 3D concept

The most interesting development from the Yoga line is this new conceptual computer that combines AI technology with glasses-free 3D technology to make flat images pop. Lenovo’s AI software powers the Yoga Book Pro 3D concept, which strives to simplify the process between drawing images and creating 3D models.

The clamshell laptop has two screens – images open on the bottom screen can be changed with different lighting and color widgets (which can be pulled up by placing real widgets on the screen) and then transformed into fully 3D views on the top screen. While standing in front of the computer camera, you can rotate and resize the newly created model to your liking using simple hand movements, using the hands to compress and sculpt the model as needed.

It’s a bit wonky and unresponsive, but so is the 3D effect of the screen itself – if you’re not standing directly in front of the computer, the display looks less impressive and more headache-inducing.

What I really like is the ability to export 3D models directly into Blender. This concept provides a use case where AI is allegedly used to help creatives pursue a larger project rather than excluding humans from the process entirely.

Even then, I think this is an ethical gray area. What happens to animators who make 3D models now? You probably don’t have to worry about missing work – all the 3D models I’ve seen created during my time with the model computer were finely detailed but exactly the same. Can Lenovo’s AI technology sculpt an asymmetric model with the same detail and precision that a human can? Call me a skeptic, but I don’t expect this concept to replace 3D modeling work anytime soon.

The current version of the Yoga Book Pro 3D concept is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 series processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU.
