Apple brought liquid glass to… iPhone When the company issued iOS 26 In September. This redesign is the most dramatic visual update Apple has brought to your iPhone since the company’s release iOS 7 In 2013. But if you’re not a fan of the design and your device is at least running iOS 26.1You can adjust the new design via your iPhone.
Some people were torn About the design when Apple released the iOS 26 developer beta. Apple modified the design during the iOS 26 beta process to improve clarity by adding more of a frozen look, but you’re still not satisfied with it. However, you can adjust the design of liquid glass in just a few steps, which significantly reduces its transparency.
Here’s how to make the Liquid Glass design in iOS 26 more visible across your entire device.
1. It opens Settings.
2. handle accessibility.
3. handle Width and text size.
4. Press the switch for Reduce transparency.
This will dim any menus or items affected by the Liquid Glass design, including apps like Messages and your Control Center.
On the left, we see the Liquid Glass design in full effect, and on the right the Reduce Transparency setting is enabled.
in Width and text size menu, you can also click the adjacent toggle button Increase contrast To help separate liquid glass elements. When I enabled this toggle, it dimmed app icons and made it easier to differentiate between certain items on my iPhone.
If you wish to use Clear app icon optionI do not recommend enabling Reduce Transparency or Increase Contrast. I really like the clear icons because they ensure that your background is the main focus, but the icons are still visible enough to differentiate each one. When these other options are enabled, it’s as if the icons take center stage.

If you want to return Liquid Glass design elements to your device, follow the steps above again to disable it Reduce transparency.
