Apple has given options for iPhones to adjust some of them Liquid glass Items with the generic version of iOS 26.1 Monday 3 November.
Now, with The first beta of iOS 26.2Looks like we will soon have more options to change the new design.
If you’re a developer or public beta tester, you can test these changes and other updates today. Since this is a beta, I recommend downloading it on a device other than your primary one. Since this is not the final version of iOS 26.2, the update may be buggy and have short battery life, so it’s best to keep these potential issues on a secondary device.
Also, more features may be added to your iPhone when iOS 26.2 is later released to the general public (release date has not been announced). Judging by when Apple released it iOS 18.2 and iOS 17.2 In December 2024 and 2023 respectively, we will likely see iOS 26.2 next month.

Here are the features developers and beta testers can try out now, and what could come to your iPhone when Apple officially launches iOS 26.2.
iOS 26.2 beta introduces a new Lock Screen clock slider that allows you to adjust how cold Liquid Glass freezes. Moving the slider to the left makes the clock more transparent, while moving the slider to the right makes it appear more solid.
Liquid Glass has captivated iPhone users since Apple announced the redesign in June. some people Reddit notes that the design may have some readability issues, while Others You find it modern and fun.
No matter how people feel about Liquid Glass, the design is here to stay.
Apple introduced a Liquid Glass setting in iOS 26.1 for iPhone users that allows you to darken certain menus. iOS 26.2 beta appears to offer additional design customization options. I expect Apple to continue expanding the ability to adjust Liquid Glass in future updates.
Apple also provides offline song lyrics to Apple Music ($11 per month) with iOS 26.2 beta. The company made a number of additions and changes to Apple Music with iOS 26, including Lyrical translation.
With iOS 26.2 beta, when subscribers download songs to their devices, they can access the lyrics to those songs when they don’t have a signal or internet connection. However, the album artwork may not load.
With iOS 26.2 beta, the Podcasts app is getting some new features. One such feature is chapters, which makes it easy to navigate between episodes. Chapter breaks in podcasts are represented by small hash marks in the podcast media player.
Other changes to podcasts include links shared in the podcast directly on the episode page, as well as a way to follow other podcasts mentioned during the episode, directly from the transcript.
In addition to the changes to Podcasts, iOS 26.2 beta also brings some tweaks to the News app. The app now has a menu at the top of the home page divided into sections, such as Sports and Politics.
The long-awaited change makes it easier to navigate to a different section directly from the news app’s home page.
Before the beta, News divided the home page into different sections, but it was difficult to navigate. You had to either scroll down your home page to find it or search for it on your follow page. This simple change allows you to navigate to a topic with relative ease.
Reminders can also allegedly set an alarm for you in iOS 26.2 beta. according to Apple insiderWhen you create a reminder, you can mark it as urgent, and the app will prompt you to schedule an alarm or timer to go off for that reminder.
However, I can’t see the urgent option in the Reminders app. I’m running iOS 26.2 beta on my old device iPhone 14 Proso I’m not sure why this option doesn’t appear. This may be a bug in the beta, and it’s a good reminder that betas have bugs, so don’t download them to your primary device.
People with iOS 26.2 beta can also find a new list of safety alerts, such as alerts for earthquakes and other threats. To find these new alerts, go to Settings > Notifications > Enhanced Security Alerts. Here you’ll find toggles for earthquake alerts and impending threat alerts.
“In emergency situations, your iPhone can receive safety alerts and broadcast them anonymously to nearby Apple devices,” Apple writes in the listing.
There’s also a toggle for improving alert delivery, which, if enabled, shares your approximate location with Apple to improve the timeliness and reliability of alerts.
according to 9to5MacSleep scores in the Health app have been tweaked with iOS 26.2 and WatchOS 26.2 betas, raising the cap for most scores.
Sleep Score is designed to measure the quality of your sleep, and the feature rates your sleep on a scale of very high (formerly excellent), high, good, poor, or very poor. These categories are based on a point system that is measured by how long you sleep, when you go to bed, and any interruptions in sleep throughout the night. These scores were summed and awarded the following grades:
The ranges of these scores change with iOS 26.2 beta, 9to5Mac wrote. Here are the possible new ranges for your sleep score:
These are some of the new features that developers and public beta testers can try out with the first public beta of iOS 26.2. There will likely be more beta versions before the operating system is released to the public, so Apple has plenty of time to improve these features.
