In WWDC, Apple says it will use artificial intelligence to mark applications to improve discovery in the application store

Apple has announced the use of artificial intelligence technology to operate the discovery of applications in the application store, the company announced at the World Developers Conference for this week (WWDC 25).

In a session focusing on updates on the App Store Connect, its application distribution platform for developers, the company announced that it will provide signs of the application store – stickers that highlight specific features and functions in the application.

These signs will be created initially by the large Apple language models using different sources, such as the application definition data. It will be reviewed after that before applying to the applications in the application store.

Apple customers will be able to use these signs when searching for applications in the application store, where the signs appear along with the categories on the search and applications page that appear in the search results.

Apple says the new brands will help the information that is often buried in the application lists, such as the application store description, category, descriptive data, or even in screenshots. Apple believes that the signs will easily help users find applications that provide jobs they are looking for, while giving developers a better idea of how to discover their applications.

Today, consumers find applications through a number of features of the application store, including the opening pieces in the tab today, or groups sponsored by the application store editing team, by browsing the application categories, or using the search store. Apple also renews the application store with ads that can appear on the tab today, the search tab, on the product pages, and in search results.

When the users of the application store click on one of the new signs, they will be transferred to a new page that offers a coordinated group of all applications and games that provide similar features or functions – an extension of the current features of the application store that indicates users to the applications that they may also love “, which are located at the bottom of the individual menus.

Although the same signs are created and reviewed by Amnesty International, developers will eventually have the last word that the signs are associated with their applications. A new information page will be available on the App Store Connect, where they can manage the signs or cancel those who do not want to appear on their application product page.

Apple already uses artificial intelligence in its application store to summarize the application reviews by combining information in a short paragraph.

Signs are not the only improvements coming to the application store. Apple says that developers will also be able to create custom product pages that appear when the user searchs for applications using certain major words. It also improves the feature of its application “feeding stickers”; Expanding a set of applications of the application (there is now five); Extending the symbols of the display to consumer, non -consuming materials, and non -renewable contributions.
