Immigration agents and law enforcement officers usually rotate in hospitals because someone they have detained suffers from a medical crisis. There are protocols for these agents or employees when dealing with a detainee or arrested. But the latest cases of high -profile immigration raise alarms whether these guidelines are sufficient to protect hospitals and legal and privacy rights.
For 15 days in July, immigration and customs law enforcement agents have occupied the Glendale Glendale Memorial Hospital. They were waiting for a patient, an immigrant from El Salvador, to be released for medical attention after their detention.
