I’m a proud member of Generation Z, but apparently, my youth is not evident on my face. While in CESan AI-powered skin analysis application from excellent He said my skin age was more than a decade older than my biological age.

There are other smart AI-powered skin analysis software out there, like Sephora’s Smart Skin Scan, for example. I liked that Perfect doesn’t feel like a sales website. The company works with brands to integrate its technology into customer experiences. The report wasn’t trying to tell me I had a specific problem and then immediately trying to sell me an expensive serum or lotion to fix it.
You can also take your skin report a step further and use its AI-generated tools to see what your face would look like in different scenarios, like if you added a new step to your routine.
Perfect offers several AI-powered beauty tools, including ones that allow you to try out different hair and makeup styles. These tools aren’t just posters that show you what lipstick and eyeshadow colors will look on you, chief growth officer Wayne Liu told me. Instead, the AI software actively adapts to each user’s face and skin tone.
Liu said the behind-the-scenes “beauty pile” is made of three layers. The initial perception layer uses non-generative computer vision technology to assess the condition of your skin. The data intelligence layer uses that information and generative AI to show you what you would look like if you made specific changes — like changing the color of your blush, adding night cream, trimming your beard into a different shape, etc.
In recent development, the final conversation element has been introduced, allowing you to use a chatbot-like window to request a series of edits.
For example, Perfect is collaborating with a luxury beauty brand to develop a tool that enables people to visualize how they would look over time if they incorporated a specific product into their skincare routine. AI-powered beauty technology is here, and if handled responsibly, it can be promising. The real test will be the ability to make it useful, and not just a tool to sell serums, sprays and creams. Personally, I choose to believe that the age of my skin is just a number.
