Truth be told, I have a thing for light bulbs. That’s not a bad thing, just a certain appreciation for a well-designed torch, as the Brits might say.
Bright flashlights are good, of course, but a sleekly designed, small, rechargeable flashlight that you can carry every day and that emits a decent amount of light is high on my list of favorite flashlights, and the new Olight Arc Pro And his slightly brighter brother, Arc Pro Ultrafit the bill. Flashlights are upgraded versions of Olight Arkfield Pro ($70) and Arkfield Ultra ($84) with higher brightness ratings. There is also a built-in mounting clip, and it comes in cool white and neutral white color temperature versions.
You get three lighting modes: 1500 lumen floodlight mode (1700 lumen for the ArkPro Ultra), 800 lumen 205m floodlight mode (same as for Ultra) and UV light mode. You can also activate the green beam laser pointer.
The flashlights have a magnetic base and include a magnetic wireless charger. You can also charge via USB-C.

I mainly tested the flashlights while walking my dog at night in a very remote, rural area of New York. Spotlight mode works best for dog walking, but I sometimes switch to spotlight mode when I want to gauge what’s ahead or check if there’s anything lurking in trees or bushes.
These mini EDC flashlights are well-suited for a variety of activities, including camping and anything you do where you want to have a flashlight handy that you can easily carry in a pocket. You can find similar flat flashlight designs from other brands on Amazon—some for much less money. However, Olight is a premium brand of EDC flashlights, although some flashlight enthusiasts are less enthusiastic about the brand Few reasons. However, I don’t mind recommending these new ArkPro models when they’re discounted this way. They make nice gifts this time of year.
