When will the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics take place?
Live coverage of the 2026 opening ceremony begins at Friday, February 6 at 2 p.m. ETviewers can expect it to last for approximately three hours. NBC and Peacock will broadcast a return of the event at 8 p.m. ET.
How to watch the opening ceremony without cable
You can follow the opening ceremony by streaming it all on Peacock. It can also be broadcast on NBC via Live TV streaming service Such as YouTube TV, DirectTV Or Hulu Plus Live TV. (Note that due to ongoing contract issues between NBC Universal and Fubo, Olympics coverage will not be available on Fubo this year.)

Who will sing at the opening ceremony?
In addition to host Terry Gannon, Olympic figure skater Shaun White will be in the broadcast booth for the Parade of Nations and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron at the San Siro Stadium in Milan.
